The workout struggle

Why do we all struggle with exercise? I’ve said this before, but i’m going to say it again. There is an evil cycle that we all go through that makes the struggle really easy for some to overcome, and really challenging for others. Myself, I’ve been up and down on this endless roller coaster. I’m starting a new chapter today, and I’m going to express my joys, sorrows, struggles, and triumphs with you all – right here!

It takes 21 days to form a habit, right?! We all know that. Well, how many of us go for about 12 days and give up? I’ve done it. What about a week? Done that one too. Why? Because we don’t see or feel anything changing. As someone who has been on all sides of the scale, I can attest to all of this. I can PROMISE you that if you stick to whatever plan you have, you will see results.

So here we have it, my friends. Day 1 of my 21 days. During this time, there will be no rest period. There will be no breaks. There will be some form of movement every day. I’m not going to limit myself to only the gym, or only running, or only this or that. I’m going to try a multitude of different exercises that I know, and I’m going to share my experiences with you. Hell, maybe you will want to try them yourself.

You will get my unbiased opinions on these workouts. I’ll be talking about what I did good, or bad, or what just went plain old wrong. I’m using this as a way to keep going, and get on the right track. I’m also hoping that somewhere, someone will seep motivation into me, or out of me. The choice is all ours. It’s up to us to keep it moving, or stop. But for me, starting now – There are NO EXCUSES!

Day 1. Went to crossfit. Wow. I actually got my butt up and went and worked out. Guess what?! It didn’t suck. I didn’t do half bad either. If you know how to do a push press, then you know what I did. standing-barbell-strict-press

I powered through it, and I felt better after. Now, I know there will be a struggle somewhere, some day, but so far day 1 isn’t too bad after all. I’m going to have lunch, and continue working on business.
